Outfit of the week.

Harvey was a very tired bear while I was trying to get a photo of his outfit. He's had a growth spurt this week and I had to buy him new jeans, he's now size 2-3 years. Harvey is wearing a new top from Frank and Nora its orangic cotton so its really soft fabric and I have been looking for a top like this for ages so I just had to order it! His jeans are from Next, in dark navy, they are lined inside and have an elasticated waist and are super comfy. Harvey is also wearing his new gruffalo socks from Sainsburys.

Christmas is over!!

I have not posted anything for a while and since then Xmas has been and gone. We had a lovely day with family and and then we vistied friends in the evening. Harvey was spoilt rotten and was very happy with his present from Santa (woody doll). Two weeks before Xmas Harvey got a horrible cold and chesty cough, he went off his food and was very grumpy. He didnt want his Xmas dinner this year, so he's been mostly living on toast and boiled eggs for the past two weeks. But today has been the first day Harvey has ate everything I gave him. He woofed down cottage pie and brussells and then blackberries and a yoghurt for his lunch, which I was really suprised at as he had gone of his fruit aswell so im glad he's getting back to his normal self.

Here's some pics from Chirstmas:

I didnt take any pictures during Xmas day as I forgot but I did get a video of Harvey opening his presents. In the new year Im hoping to keep up with blogging a bit more! Thank's for reading.

It's December!

14:20 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

I cannot believe it is December already and that it has been nearly a month since Bear's birthday! Apart from Harvey's presents I am not very organised at all! But I think we are planning on going Christmas shopping next week and aim to get everything in one go!

This year I am making a Christmas Eve box for Bear, last year Harvey had only just turned one and I didn't think he would understand, so keep checking back to see what I am putting in it.

Here's some of the activities planned for Bear this year:

  1. Decorating gingerbread Christmas tree's (DONE)
  2. Visiting Santa
  3. Feeding reindeer at local garden centre
  4. Tot's group Christmas party
  5. Making Christmas cards
  6. Building gingerbread house.
I was never a big fan of Christmas before Bear was born, but since he arrived Christmas has come alive again and I get so excited for him. I can't wait to see his face Christmas morning when he see's his presents. He will able to open his own presents and he can express himself more now he's older and I know he will love everything he gets.

What activities will you be doing with your little one's this year?

Outfit of the week

Today we started Christmas shopping, we took a trip into town after lunch. Harvey slept most of the time in his pushchair so we got around the shops quiet quick. Here's Bear's outfit of the week.

Bear's coat is by Jasper Conran at Debenhams. It's quilted and has brown cord trim and is fastened by poppers. It is a bit big on him at the moment as it is 2-3 years but he will grow into it.

Harvey's hat is from Next and not to expensive at £5. I love the colours and I can always spot Harvey with the bright yellow pom pom on the top.

The jeans and converse are the same from the last outfit of the week.

Bear's Xmas gifts so far...

13:22 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

I have not posted anything since Wednesday as I was feeling a bit crappy over the weekend so I apoligise as there was no outifit of the week, but I will make sure I post this week. I wanted to show you the gifts we have got for Harvey so far for Xmas. Im not at all oragnised this year for everyone else but I have been picking things up for bear when I see them. His main present from Santa is going to be a Woody doll and maybe a little play kitchen.

Everything you see has either been on offer or in a sale of some sought. Bear is mad about Toy Story so when I spotted the Pjs in Tesco I had to grab them. One side he can be Woody and the other he can be Buzz so I know he is going to love them.

The car transporter and train where in the Sainsburys sale in October. The train comes with a screwdriver so you can take it apart, he loves to fix things so I think this will be very popular. The cars will come in handy as I can put them in his bag and he can play with them in the car on long journeys.

If Bear is in garden and he hears a plane he will stop and tell me and he loves playing with little figures, so I got the happyland plane of the Early Learning Center website when it was on sale and then got an extra 20% off with a code.

I got the Toy Story 2 dvd of Disney movie rewards for free as I had 500 points to use. The Tinkerbell dvd came with the BOGOF offer from Zavvi but I got the whole amount of money back from a promotion through Topcashback.co.uk. So I got 3 Disney dvds for free basically.

Harvey loves sitting down and doing a puzzle so I got him a big floor puzzle from TK Maxx and a small puzzle which might go in his stocking I bought that from ELC.

As Bear has just had his birthday I find it hard to think of  what to get him. I might make box with craty bits and stickers in, that will last him a while. Im also making him a Chirstmas Eve box this year so Ill be posting it when I have finished making it.

What are you getting your child for Christmas?

What a busy day!

15:29 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

Today was a busy day in the world of Little Bear & Mummy. This morning we had a trip to the dentist, it was Harvey's second visit as his first was just before his first birthday. We had to call on my sister Aunty Hannah as she comes to, which Harvey was very excited about as Aunty Hannah is Bear's all time favourite person!

We have been going to the same dentist since we where born and my mum first took me when I was a couple of months old. So I knew I had to get Harvey signed up. When we got into the waiting room, Bear went straight for the toys, which have been there since I can remember. It was very weird seeing him play with the same toys I used to when I was young. After a while waiting we entered the dentists room and Harvey was first up. He sat on my knee and let the dentist feel his teeth. It wasn't a proper check up but getting him used to going and being in the enviroment will pay off in the long run. Bear sat really well while me and Aunty Hannah had there teeth checked. He did get a little bit antsy when the polisher came on but being rewarded with a sticker at the end cheered him up.

After a nap, lunch and packing his bags Bear was off to Aunty Hannah's house for a sleepover. Tomorrow is Mummys and Daddys four year anniversary of being together, so we went for a meal out and a trip to the bowling alley. We enjoyed a yummy meal at TGI Firdays (Daddy's fav!), and a couple of games of bowling and pool. Being able to eat a whole meal without having to try and occupy an energetic toddler who dosen't want to sit still was really nice. I did miss Bear though and I cannot wait to get him back in the morning.

We have a poorly Little Bear

16:25 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

As the winter cold closes in, its was inevitable that Bear was going to get a cold at some point. We have been really lucky as Bear has never been majorly ill and (touch wood) hasn't had the sickness bug yet and he's just turned two so he's doing really well.

Today he woke up fairly happy,  with smiles and singing his singing his favourite song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We sat down and had breakfast which he refused to eat after a few spoonfuls. This is a rare occurrence for Bear as he is always ravenous when he wakes up. After more failed attempts at getting him to eat, I let him watch his favourite Disney Junior programme and sat down and drank my cup of tea. A while later he comes up to me and plonks a pillow on my leg and lays down on me which I know means he wants to go to sleep.

After a couple of moans and groans I put him in his bed to nap and he slept for an hour or so. He usually wakes up happy and with smiles but today, he cried and just wanted cuddles. His nose was runny and his eyes where watering. He was very clingy after and didn't want to leave my side. I gave him calpol which seemed to help after a while and he perked up, he had toast for lunch and yoghurt and a biscuit for snack.I offered him fruit but he refused which Is very unlike him, we has lasagne for dinner which he ate a bit of and some garlic bread.

He's still not 100 percent himself and wouldn't go to bed without me being there to hold his hand. So I'm expecting him to be in bed with us at some point tonight, which I don't mind as I love Bear's cuddles and Matt gets up a at half 4 to go to work, so he keeps me company.  I'm hoping he will feel better in the morning after a good night's sleep. But we will have to wait and see...

What we did today.

15:51 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

I know its only the 15th November but today Little Bear wrote his letter to Santa. This will be his third christmas so he's starting to understand who Santa is and can open his own presents as he wasn't bothered last year. As Harvey is only two, mummy had to help him so we wrote two letters one by Bear and one by me to send off to the royal mail. I got a letter to Santa kit from ebay which cost 3 pounds. It came with two pieces of paper, stickers, envelope and a santa pencil and rubber which he loved. Of course Bears favourite part was the stickers, he would sit all day with a book of stickers, peeling them off and sticking them to anything he could find. I asked Bear to draw a picture for santa after he had finished sticking, he was very chuffed with his work and kept showing us and saying ''picture, picture".

I found out this year, that you can send a letter to santa via the royal mails special address and they will send you back a card from Santa which I cant wait to recieve.

If you would like to send a letter to Santa get your letters sent of by 6th December to:

Santa/Father Christmas
Santa's Grotto
Reindeerland

Outfit of the week.

11:39 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

We have just got back from our tots group we go to every Thursday. Daddy tagged along today as it was a special day. Harvey got to blow out his birthday candle and he got a little card from the group. I thought I would include Little Bear's outfit of the week today as he was wearing his new hoody he got from my brother and sister in law for his birthday. I try to dress him in comfy stuff that he can move around in and doesn't restrict his movement as he is always on the go. Apologies for the poor photo he did not want to have his picture taken today.

Outfit of the week :

Harvey is wearing a personalised hoody from Bleachers Clothing. Its super soft and cosy, and I love the print, its size 1-2 and its really big so will last him a long time!

His jeans are from next, they look like jeans but are a Jersey denim fabric, really soft and he can move around them unlike normal skinny jeans.

My favourite shoes that I mostly put Harvey in is his black hi top converse. They pretty much go with anything and look super cute! I got these from Very on offer for £18 so I had to get them.

10 facts about Me.

14:28 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

My first post was just a short introduction about my little family. So here's some facts about me. At some point I will post 10 facts about Little Bear .

  1. I was born in March, which makes me an Aries.
  2. I was a really fussy eater when I was a child. I'm better now, but I still have to smell any food that I eat, so I get some funny looks from people when I go out for dinner.
  3. I'm a big movie buff. Love anything Disney, drama or romcom.
  4. Red is my favourite colour.
  5. I love anything to do with The Queen and Royal family history.
  6. Pens, notebooks and stationery make me happy.
  7. I can plate spin.
  8. I hate wearing odd socks.
  9. My dream job would be a professional chef or to own a bakery.
  10.  I had Pre-eclampsia whilst I was in labour with Harvey.

Who we are.. A quick introduction

12:37 Kayleigh Huitt 0 Comments

Hi, I'm Kayleigh. I am little bear's mummy, we live In a small town in Northamptonshire called Kettering, not the most exciting place but its home. I'm a 22 year old stay and home mum who was once a Nanny. I love movies, music, football and rugby (bit of a tomboy) and spending time with Harvey and Matt (little bear and daddy).

Meet Little Bear

This is Harvey a.k.a Little bear or boo boo. He was born I'm November 2012 and has just turned two! He is a very cheeky and mischievous toddler, who has a big obsession with Toy Story! He loves cars, drawing and play doh and will do anything for chocolate.

Matt

Is a sometimes grumpy bear who loves football, rugby and sleeping! We have been together 4 years and we got engaged a couple of months before Harvey was born, I might mention him in the blog from time to time.

This blog is going to be my view on parenting and about living with a two year old toddler and the caos that's come with it. My goal is to write at least once a week. Join me on the journey that is... Little bear and mummy!
