Let's get started!

Okay, now I have a laptop I have no excuse not to blog now. Christmas is now over, I'm looking forward to new year and seeing what happens in 2016. Harvey will start doing 3 mornings a week at nursery, which he absolutely loves. Bear has really started to bloom since he's been going to nursery. He is talking so much more and is getting more confident and loves going to nursery to play with his friends.
My aim is to post at least once a week and I'm determined to stick to it. I know some weeks that I probably wont have a lot to say but I WILL do it! I'm going to finish the year out with this post and a new little picture of Bear, he looks so grown up. Then in the new year update the look of the blog ans hopefully start gaining followers and maybe even make some YouTube videos. Watch this space! Thanks for reading. :)

Long time no see....

Okay... So I haven't been the best of bloggers. I've been away for a while and really want to get back into blogging but being without a laptop is driving me crazy and I hate writing on my phone. So hopefully after Xmas I will have one. I'm determined to get the blog going again and I really enjoyed doing it last time. What's been happening since I last posted? Well Matt has got a new job as a chef so I've been trying to manage his unsociable hours. Harvey has started nursery (sob) and is getting bigger and more grown up everyday. This was just a little post to check in and I hope to be back on to blogging in the new year. :)

Sooooo...

After a couple of days of potty training, we have not had one wee wee in the potty! So for a week or so I'm going to stop and have a break from it. We are going to get Harvey a new potty that he can choose as I've read that it might motivate him, at the moment he just has a bog standard blue potty, and won't sit on it! I'm hoping a new potty might help, I've seen a toy story one in boots so I'm going to take Bear and see if he likes it. I was hoping he would like potty training and at the start he was into sitting on it but the novelty has worn off so we will try again soon! How did potty training go for you?

Potty Training!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Today I attempted to get Bear started with potty training and introduce him to big boy pants! We have had the potty for a while and have been showing it to him now and then but today was the first day I put him in pants and explained to him about doing a wee wee in it.

Harvey approached the potty and stuck it straight on his head. Its safe to say that the potty has been on his head more times than he has sat on it today. I tend to ask him every 15 minutes if he needs to go. I put him in pants after he woke up and he stayed dry for an hour and did a tiny tiddle in his pants while I quickly popped upstairs for a second. So after a change of pants and sitting him on the potty we tried again. After 30 mins of asking him if  he needs a wee and Harvey saying NO everytime, I went into the kitchen to get him a snack and I back came to harvey pointing at the potty. After quickly taking off his pants I realised he had already done a wee. So with Harvey pointing at the potty I know that he understands what it is there for. Im going to have to keep a close eye on him as he seems to go when im out the room!

I'm not going to worry about getting him fully potty trained just yet when he's ready he will tell me, I'm slowy introducing it, my plan is to put him in pants in the morning and put a nappy on when he has his nap after lunchtime.

How did potty training go for you?

Outfit of the week.

Harvey was a very tired bear while I was trying to get a photo of his outfit. He's had a growth spurt this week and I had to buy him new jeans, he's now size 2-3 years. Harvey is wearing a new top from Frank and Nora its orangic cotton so its really soft fabric and I have been looking for a top like this for ages so I just had to order it! His jeans are from Next, in dark navy, they are lined inside and have an elasticated waist and are super comfy. Harvey is also wearing his new gruffalo socks from Sainsburys.

Christmas is over!!

I have not posted anything for a while and since then Xmas has been and gone. We had a lovely day with family and and then we vistied friends in the evening. Harvey was spoilt rotten and was very happy with his present from Santa (woody doll). Two weeks before Xmas Harvey got a horrible cold and chesty cough, he went off his food and was very grumpy. He didnt want his Xmas dinner this year, so he's been mostly living on toast and boiled eggs for the past two weeks. But today has been the first day Harvey has ate everything I gave him. He woofed down cottage pie and brussells and then blackberries and a yoghurt for his lunch, which I was really suprised at as he had gone of his fruit aswell so im glad he's getting back to his normal self.

Here's some pics from Chirstmas:

I didnt take any pictures during Xmas day as I forgot but I did get a video of Harvey opening his presents. In the new year Im hoping to keep up with blogging a bit more! Thank's for reading.

It's December!

I cannot believe it is December already and that it has been nearly a month since Bear's birthday! Apart from Harvey's presents I am not very organised at all! But I think we are planning on going Christmas shopping next week and aim to get everything in one go!

This year I am making a Christmas Eve box for Bear, last year Harvey had only just turned one and I didn't think he would understand, so keep checking back to see what I am putting in it.

Here's some of the activities planned for Bear this year:

  1. Decorating gingerbread Christmas tree's (DONE)
  2. Visiting Santa
  3. Feeding reindeer at local garden centre
  4. Tot's group Christmas party
  5. Making Christmas cards
  6. Building gingerbread house.
I was never a big fan of Christmas before Bear was born, but since he arrived Christmas has come alive again and I get so excited for him. I can't wait to see his face Christmas morning when he see's his presents. He will able to open his own presents and he can express himself more now he's older and I know he will love everything he gets.

What activities will you be doing with your little one's this year?
